First Post

I've decided to try out my own blog. I have thought about doing it for a few years now and finally decided that now is the time to try it out. We'll see how this goes.

This blog will mostly be to share some of my card creations. I love to make cards in my free time, and I sell Stampin' Up! products to some family and friends.

I have accumulated a large collection of mostly Stampin' Up! stamp sets, punches, designer series paper (DSP), and more thoughout the years. The past couple years I have worked on weekly challenges with a few family members. (We have a list for one challenge per week, and once we have finished our own card for that week, we post it to a Pinterest board to share with the others. Some examples include: use a punch; use ribbon; card for a kid; card with flowers.) Not only is it fun to be challenged, but it gets me using my supplies, and it's always interested to see what others have come up with for the same challenge. Doing this has also helped me build up a card stash so I can grab a card last minute when I need one for some reason or another.

Today when I was putting away even more stamp sets I recently purchased at a garage sale, I decided I should really try to use all the stamp sets I own. I know there are some that I have bought that sit on my shelf hardly used. There are even a few I don't know that I have ever used (yikes!). So today I printed a list of all my stamp sets, and I am challenging myself to use each one (even if it's just a stamp from the set). I don't have a specific time frame at this point in mind to try and complete this. I'm just hoping that checking them off as I go helps me vary what I use.

Don't expect regular posts though as I work on this new challenge I've set for myself. I work full time, I have an energetic one-year-old boy, I am in two book clubs, and well, I have lots of other things to do. But I'll do my best!

Look for another post soon. I did actually make two cards tonight using two different stamp sets. I just don't have time to share them tonight.
